Things are really thriving at Llandudno and we are busier than ever!

Guitar - still our biggest student population and still basking in the glory from 100% pass rate at Grade 1 Rock School examinations. So much so, we have Grade 2 ear marked for late Summer and more students going for Grade 1.

Drums - growing fast! We now offer drum lessons on Monday AND Thursday evenings, and all day Saturday. P

Play for Keeps - now that Sioned has found her teaching feet with us, we will be on the road across Conwy county searching for more keyboard playing ’stars’. We will be at a school near you soon!

Junior Play for Keeps - June will be the month that JPFK student numbers will swell. An excellent course, full of energy and fun designed for children aged 5 plus.

‘Play for Keeps’ is for anyone over the age of 8 years. If you are looking for music courses for children under 8, then Junior Play for Keeps if for you! We will be having new classes starting in early June - please contact us and we’ll add you to the waiting list and contact you nearer the time!

We are very pleased to welcome Sioned Wyn Jones to our teaching team here at Llandudno Music. Sioned starts with teaching with us on Monday April 8th 2008.

Here at YMS Llandudno we have just had a triple whammy of success!

 Firstly we have had fifteen of our guitar students pass their grade 1 rockschool exam, that’s a 100% pass rate! overall there were 7 distinctions, 6 merits and 2 passes. Our Rockschool examinor, Jeremy Ward, had this to say of our students, “[he] was very impressed with the overall level and playing ability of the students”. This is also a great credit to our guitar tutor Carl Foulkes Jones.

Secondly our five youngest students have passed their exam for the Junior Play For Keeps course, and have now moved on to Play For Keeps Book 1.

 Finally our Play For Keeps students have been progressing well and we have one student who has passed Book 2 with distinction, and two students who have passed Grade 4 - one with distinction and the other student with a merit!
